Thelma M. Pageau

Thelma M. Pageau, 84, formerly of Northborough, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was the wife of the late Roger W. Pageau.

Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth (Lougee) Chouinard. Thelma was the 14th of 15 children. She was raised and educated in Hopkinton and was a 1957 graduate of Hopkinton High School.

Prior to her retirement, Thelma was employed as a bookkeeper at New England Electric, where she met her future husband and continued to work in customer service and accounting for many years after having her children until her eventual retirement. During her retirement years, she lovingly cared for her grandchildren.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Westborough

Thelma loved watching her beloved Red Sox, golfing, skiing, traveling and spending time at the cape.

She is survived by two daughters, Amy M. Seitz and her husband, Matthew, of N. Grafton and Dr. Gayle P. Pouliot and her husband, Jason, of Watertown; two brothers, Philip Chouinard of Ashland, and Ricky Chouinard of Westborough; four grandchildren, Nolan and Cooper Seitz and Abigail and Lydia Pouliot and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 12 siblings.

She and Roger lived in Northborough for nearly 40 years raising their two daughters. She was an active member of the PTO, Junior Women’s Association and Trinity Church. She also was part of a women’s golf league and played weekly. After Roger passed away, she moved to Watertown with Gayle and Jason and remained there until her passing.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in The First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Hopkinton.

Calling hours at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Wednesday from 5 to 7 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or The First United Methodist Church of Westborough.
