David has proudly served in the funeral industry for over 40 years.

A graduate of Franklin High School (Franklin, MA), David attended the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences where he received his degree in Mortuary Science.

In the early years of his career David worked at funeral homes in Franklin, Jamaica Plain, Norwood and Brockton. His goal was to one day own his own, which happened when he was selected by Warren Rand to purchase the (then) Rand-Harper Funeral Home in Westborough in 1997. He later acquired the Britton-Summers Funeral Home also in Westborough, merging the two into the Westborough Funeral Home.

In 2018, David purchased the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home in Upton. Both the Westborough and Upton Funeral Homes are collectively called Pickering & Son Funeral Homes. David owns and operates both funeral homes, proudly working alongside his son Andrew.

David is married to Susan, they have two children, Andrew and Matthew.

The “Son” in Pickering & Son, Andrew joined the funeral service industry when he was a teenager, helping his father. After graduating from Westborough High School in 2013, Andrew attended the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences at Mount Ida College where he received his degree in Funeral Services in 2015. He became a licensed funeral director soon after his graduation.

Andrew manages the Upton Funeral Home and works alongside his father at the Westborough Funeral Home.

Andrew is newly married to Amanda Pickering, they reside in Upton.
